WISH launches factsheets of data for health

The Urban Health Data Fact Sheets compiled, encompass vital metrics from diverse states, spotlighting the current health scenarios in those regions

WISH, NGO dedicated to healthcare innovation organised an expert group discussion titled “Health of Data & Data for Health – An Urban Perspective” and unveiled the factsheet “Navigating Urban Health Through Data Lens” in the presence of Dr Vinod K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog.

The event was honored by the participation of influential key opinion leaders namely.

Dr Paul officially launched the factsheets of data for health, presenting metrics from various states to underscore the current health scenario in those regions and identify areas for potential enhancement.

On this occasion Dr Paul said, “The compilation of actionable health data is vital for evidence-based planning in urban health. WISH’s strong dedication to primary healthcare underscores the importance of urban health data in this endeavour.”

He also highlighted how critical it is to put emphasis on the quality of data being assessed and undertake multiple studies in order to increase accuracy. Dr Paul also lauded WISH’s endeavour towards making urban health data accessible.

These Urban Health Data Fact Sheets are a testament to our dedication to fostering innovations and creating solutions, both digital and offline, that address the unique healthcare challenges faced by urban populations.”

The Urban Health Data Fact Sheets compiled, encompass vital metrics from diverse states, spotlighting the current health scenarios in those regions.

WISH also presented the concept and design of upcoming “Centre for Urban Health Informatics and Policy (CUHIP)”, an effort that was lauded by the distinguished luminaries present at the workshop. This Centre will be developing central data repository for urban health governance, enabling stakeholders to use data for improving universal health coverage for urban populations and help improve contribution of urban health indicators in progress towards SDG3. It will also consolidate urban health learnings for faster adoption, adaptation and scale up.

The main task at hand is to tailor solutions as per local requirements and empower all stakeholders whose actions contribute to the larger goal of strengthening urban primary healthcare.
