The 300-bed Zydus Multispecialty and Cancer Hospital, Vadodara, has acquired Vadodara Institute of Neurological Sciences Hospital. With the acquisition of the 50-bed facility, Zydus Hospitals adds a centre focused on neurology and neurosurgery to its hospital network.
According to the hospital, the acquisition enables Zydus Hospitals to expand services for patients requiring neurological care through a dedicated facility.
Speaking on the development, Mr. Pankaj Patel, Chairman, Zydus Hospitals, said, “Zydus Multi-specialty and Cancer Hospital has rapidly become a trusted centre for advanced medical care in Vadodara. With the integration of VINS Hospital, we are significantly strengthening our neuro-specialty capabilities, bringing together leading clinical expertise, advanced technology, and comprehensive services under one unified system. This step will enable patients and families to access specialised neurological diagnosis, treatment, and surgery closer to home, while advancing our vision of building one of India’s most comprehensive centres for neuroscience care.”
Zydus Hospitals stated that the integration will strengthen its neuroscience portfolio and support the management of conditions including brain and spinal tumours, aneurysms, movement disorders, stroke, trauma, deep brain stimulation, and epilepsy care including surgery.
VINS Hospital was founded two decades ago by Dr. Monish Malhotra and has provided neurological services in Vadodara. Doctors including Dr. Suresh Nayak, Dr. Rakesh Shah and Dr. Mihir Acharya will join Zydus Hospitals, working alongside Dr. Chaturbhuj Rathore and Dr. Bhagwati Salgotra.
