Asia Medical Tourism Congress India held in Noida

The conference showcased the best of healthcare and medical tourism industry under one roof

World Medical Tourism Congress recently hosted Asia Medical Tourism Congress India (ASTCI) in Greater Noida, which saw the largest congregation of medical fraternity who deliberated on current market challenges and strategies that will help India to be the next leader in the medical tourism industry.

The conference played host to some very thought-provoking interactions on India’s medical travel sector – trends, opportunities and challenges, advanced medical travel marketing, medical travel from Africa and Middle East and medical travel opportunities for International Insurance Companies. Other interesting aspects that were discussed at the event include The future of healthcare and insurance in the GCC region, using medical tourism technology to power healthcare business and governmental partnership in medical travel.

Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Chairman of Medical Wellness Tourism Board, Government of India said, “We are trying to address all issues related to medical tourism through a single clearance window. India now has a simplified e-medical visa facility which allows you three visits to the country. We will try to address more issues in time to come, like standardisation and accreditation of services. We want to make the processes transparent, to rationalise services and make them all of them available in a transparent manner so that no one is deprived of much needed healthcare services.”
