DHA partners with AHPI for digital upskilling of healthcare professionals

This collaboration will play a pivotal role in leveraging the global expertise of DHA to help organisations and clinicians develop the digital skills needed in the 21st century

Digital Health Associates (DHA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Healthcare Providers (India) (AHPI). Under this collaboration, DHA will work as the digital health upskilling partner for AHPI and its members. DHA will jointly work for internship opportunities with AHPI member organisations, and this collaboration will also entail the two organizations working on workshops, research, and publications.

COVID-19 has brought forth the importance of integrating digital health across the continuum of care. India’s healthcare system is struggling with various issues, from infrastructure, financing to human resources. As per the current scenario of the overall healthcare system in the country, healthcare organisations are developing in many aspects and do not have any exposure or expertise in digital healthcare, and digital health will play a major role in making healthcare accessible and outcome driven. This collaboration will play a pivotal role in leveraging the global expertise of DHA to help organisations and clinicians develop the digital skills needed in the 21st century.

Dr Rajendra Pratap Gupta, founder, Digital Health Associates, shared, ‘Healthcare is about human resources, which constitute 60-80 per cent of the cost of healthcare delivery. In this digital age, every organisation, every healthcare professional needs to be technically (digitally) proficient and clinically competent, and for that, lifelong digital upskilling will be crucial and at DHA, we have emerged as the world’s foremost institution. My vision is to create a million new job opportunities in India at every level in healthcare through digital health, and this collaboration with AHPI will help us achieve this vision faster.’

Commenting on this occasion, Dr Girdhar Gyani, Director General, AHPI, said, “At AHPI, we are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Digital Health Associates as our Digital Upskilling partner. This association is timely and will add phenomenal opportunities for our members to upskill themselves on digital technologies, given the integration of Digital Health across the continuum of care. Digital Health Associates, through its Digital Health Academy and Health Parliament, is doing outstanding work in the domain globally, and AHPI, which is the largest association of healthcare providers in the country and a pioneer organisation in skilling and upskilling the healthcare workforce are coming together with the objective of digital transformation of healthcare.”
