MediBuddy launches #EverySingleBreath to raise awareness about Asthma

Asthma continues to be a major worrisome disease, with an estimate of 235 million people suffering globally and one in every 50 people in India

MediBuddy has unveiled its new campaign #EverySingleBreath to commemorate World Asthma Day that falls on 4th May, 2021. Through this campaign, the company aims to raise awareness about the breathing difficulties that asthmatics may struggle with within seemingly normal situations.

Asthma continues to be a major worrisome disease, with an estimate of 235 million people suffering globally and one in every 50 people in India. Adults and children alike are susceptible to the disease which is often characterised by breathlessness, wheezing, cough and chest tightness that may vary in occurrence and severity.

Commenting on the campaign, Satish Kannan, Co-Founder and CEO, MediBuddy, said, “It is easy to underestimate the relevance of ‘breathing freely’ for people who do not grapple with an asthmatic condition. Triggers can be anywhere and all around, and most of us do not realise how a simple situation can turn dangerous for someone with Asthma. With the initiative #EverySingleBreath, we at MediBuddy encourage individuals to be mindful of those with breathing difficulties, especially during these COVID times.”

Amid the second wave of COVID-19, MediBuddy has launched several initiatives such as a hospital bed availability tracker, a 24×7 helpline number and a coronavirus Risk Assessment Tool to help tackle the surge of infection.
