Medisim VR, a healthcare simulation company, and Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), a medical institution in Chennai have announced the signing of an MOU to establish a VR skill training lab – Center of Excellence on SRIHER’s campus.

As part of the collaboration, Medisim VR will establish an immersive and realistic skill training lab for medical students, nursing students,  faculty, and allied healthcare professionals. The lab will offer advanced VR medical simulations, allowing users to practise medical procedures and develop critical clinical skills in a safe and controlled setting.

The new lab is set to benefit students’ career development and placement opportunities, as it equips them with hands-on experience, boosting their confidence and expertise in medical procedures.

As a Center of Excellence (CoE), the simulation lab will play a pivotal role in upskilling medical students, nursing students and healthcare professionals, as well as professionals from other medical colleges across Chennai.

Dr Uma Sekar, Vice Chancellor, SRIHER said, “We’re truly excited to be at the forefront of an educational revolution.
