UTI AMC provides financial aid to develop five robots

The robots can monitor and communicate with the COVID-19 patients

UTI AMC under its CSR initiative has provided financial aid for the development of  five robots (ZAFI GO) to Shan Mugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA) , a deemed university. 

The robots will provide assistance to the doctors and other healthcare workers for delivering food and medicines to the isolated patients due to the widespread pandemic COVID-19 in hospitals and medical colleges in Thanjavur/ Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. The robot will also help in monitoring and communicating with the isolated patients.

Propeller Technologies, a Trichy-based decided to remodel the robots for assisting doctors and nurses. The remodelled robots are named as ZAFI GO that has 1000 meters of radio control system with a visual camera. The robot can carry around 10 kgs of payload. 

 UTI AMC has also contributed Rs 1 crore to PM CARE Fund for COVID-19.
