BGS Global Hospitals has introduced the Robotic Assisted Pain Management Technology in Karnataka, ROBIO EX.
Dr R Madhan Kumar, Senior Consultant, Interventional Pain Medicine, BGS Global Hospitals, said, “With the introduction of robotics in the field of Interventional Pain Management, it will hugely benefit the patients suffering from chronic pain due to medical conditions like, Cancer, Knee pain, Neck pain, Low back pain and Chronic headaches etc. Interventional pain management uses techniques, such as injections and radiofrequency rhizotomy, to directly address the source of the pain. The treatment plan is tailored to the condition and degree of pain. Robotic guided interventional pain management has been weighed heavily than the conventional methods. The accuracy, safety and duration of the procedure are highly commendable using robot.”
Dr Venkatramanaa NK, Vice Chairman & Chief Neurosurgeon, BGS Global Hospitals, said, “Treatment of chronic pain is quite complex and extremely challenging. Chronic pain could be due to malignant and non malignant conditions. In addition to the physical components, there is lot of emotional, social and psychological factors that need to be addressed. The essence of treatment is to offer maximum comfort and quality of life. In spite, of all the advancements, there is no objective method of assessing the pain. The treatment consists of medical, surgical, ablation, implantation devices and high end neurosurgeries. The Robotics is a new ornamentation in the field of management of pain.
