Dr LH Hiranandani Hospital to organise ‘Front Office Conclave’
To improve operation management by the front office teams of a hospital and enable them to face the day-to-day patient intake efficiently, Dr LH Hiranandani Hospital is organising a half-day event, Front Office Conclave, at its hospital in Powai, Mumbai. Reportedly, an initiative conceptualised and executed by the front office staff of the hospital.
The event is conceptualised with an objective to enhance the knowledge base of front office staff and improve their operation management. ‘Front Office Conclave’ will be held on January 23, 2014 at Dr LH Hiranandani Hospital. An initiative in its third year, this year the hospital has invited speakers/experts from other city hospitals to increase knowledge sharing. The event is open for front office staff, staff from operation, billing, reception and other healthcare practitioners.
The agenda of the conclave includes lectures, case study discussions, questions and answers session, panel discussions. It aims to serve as a platform for idea exchange of front office issues/cases and experience. A discussion on need to tackle the physical as well as emotional aspects of the patients and their relatives is also included. The ideas shared on this forum is expected to help in hospital setting and results can be measured in terms of the process completion (turnaround time) and customer satisfaction.
Expressing his view on their unique initiative, Dr Sujit Chatterjee, CEO, Dr LH Hiranandani Hospital said, “This platform is for knowledge sharing and discussion on challenges faced/anticipated and ways to overcome these challenges. The front office staff, which is an important pillar for any hospital setup, do not have any formal institutional training in the job to handle day-to-day operations in a streamlined manner. Through this initiative we intend to enhance the professional capabilities of the front office staff.”
