Healthium Medtech appoints Rajnish Damani as Group COO to lead manufacturing, R&D and supply chain
Rajnish Damani to drive operational integration and efficiency across Healthium Medtech’s global manufacturing and research operations
Healthium Medtech, a global medical devices company, has announced the appointment of Rajnish Damani as its Group Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this newly created role, Damani will oversee manufacturing, research and development, and supply chain operations across the group. He will report directly to Anish Bafna, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Healthium Medtech.
The company stated that this appointment is aligned with its plan to integrate its operational verticals under a unified leadership structure. Healthium aims to improve coordination across its value chain and enhance its delivery of medical devices and surgical products to healthcare systems globally.

Rajnish Damani brings more than three decades of experience in manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, quality, and environment, health and safety. His background spans sectors including automotive, healthcare, renewables, aviation, transportation, power and tyre industries. Prior to joining Healthium, he was Executive Director – Manufacturing Operations at Bridgestone India. In that role, he led initiatives in strategic manufacturing, long-term investment planning, quality improvements, talent development and product introduction.
Damani has previously held leadership positions at General Electric, Cummins and Hindustan Motors. He holds a degree in engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and will relocate from Pune to assume his new position at Healthium.

Healthium Medtech has established a wide presence across India, with its salesforce covering 90 per cent of the country’s districts. The company manufactures a range of surgical and post-surgical products, including sutures, needles, wound closure devices, haemostats, surgical staplers, and patented portfolios in arthroscopy and wound care. Its six global manufacturing facilities hold regulatory certifications including US FDA, CE (under EU MDR), CDSCO, TGA, ISO and cGMP. Healthium currently holds over 85 patents across the United States, Europe and India, including pending applications, and exports to more than 90 countries.
