Aarthi Scans launches helium-free 1.5T MRI in Bengaluru from Siemens Healthineers

Aarthi Scans and Labs has launched a helium-free 1.5 Tesla MRI system from Siemens Healthineers. The facility has introduced the Siemens Healthineers Magnetom Flow Plus at its newly opened centre in Whitefield, Bengaluru, with the aim of incorporating patient-friendly and environmentally responsible diagnostics.

Traditional MRI systems consume thousands of litres of liquid helium, a non-renewable resource that is becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. The Magnetom Flow Plus transforms this approach by utilising just 0.7L of helium in a completely sealed, zero-loss system. This technology eliminates the need for regular helium refills and prevents any helium emissions into the atmosphere.
