Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre secures JCI Gold Seal of Approval

Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre (LHRC) has achieved the Joint Commission International (JCI) Gold Seal of Approval, a globally recognised benchmark for patient safety, clinical care, and organisational management. The accreditation was assessed by three international surveyors from 8–12 December 2025, placing LHRC among hospitals worldwide adhering to international healthcare standards.

JCI accreditation validates the hospital’s commitment to patient-centred care, clinical standards, continuous quality improvement, and staff empowerment. The evaluation covered areas including access to care, surgical safety, medication management, infection control, governance, facility management, and quality monitoring.

The JCI Gold Seal of Approval represents an evaluation process in the healthcare sector. Achieving this accreditation provides hospitals with recognition from insurers and professional associations and supports organisations in structuring and enhancing performance improvement efforts. It also supports healthcare institutions in evolving into high-reliability organisations, enhances staff education, and provides access to experts in quality and patient safety.
