BPL Medical Technologies has announced the acquisition of Yozma BMtech Co, a company specialising in bone mineral density (BMD) diagnostic solutions. The acquisition adds to BPL MedTech’s imaging and diagnostics portfolio in preventive healthcare, bone health and women’s health.

Following the acquisition, BPL Medical Technologies has launched BM Tech’s bone mineral density measuring machines in India and Dubai. The company stated that the systems are intended to support screening and monitoring for osteoporosis and other bone-related conditions.

According to the company, the systems combine diagnostic capabilities with patient-focused design. The devices include high-speed scanning with high-resolution imaging, low-radiation exposure and fan-beam technology with multi-channel detectors designed to measure bone density across multiple anatomical sites. Certain models also support whole-body bone densitometry and body composition analysis. The systems are designed for use in clinical environments with limited space, enabling use in hospitals and diagnostic centres.

The company stated that the launch addresses the need for preventive diagnostics associated with ageing populations, osteoporosis prevalence and lifestyle-related risks. The integration of BM Tech’s technology adds to BPL’s diagnostic portfolio and expands its presence in the women’s health segment where bone density assessment is used to manage post-menopausal health risks.

Shravan Subramanyam, Managing Director of BPL Medical Technologies, said, “This acquisition represents a significant step in strengthening our preventive healthcare and diagnostics portfolio. Bone health, particularly among women and aging populations, requires greater focus on early detection and monitoring. By bringing advanced bone mineral density technology to key markets, we aim to improve access to reliable screening solutions and support better clinical outcomes.”

The company stated that the acquisition is expected to support developments in imaging and diagnostics and expand BPL’s presence in international markets. By combining BM Tech’s technology with BPL’s manufacturing, distribution and clinical operations, the company aims to expand early detection services for patients.
