FEPPA 2026 to host pelvic pain conference in Chennai

Event to focus on multidisciplinary approaches to chronic pelvic pain across clinical specialties

FEPPA 2026, the 3rd Annual Conference of the Female Pelvic Pain Association, will be held on April 11–12, 2026 at The Savera Hotel. The conference is themed “Decoding Pelvic Pain: From Confusion to Clarity” and will bring together experts to discuss chronic pelvic pain.

Chronic pelvic pain is described as multifactorial and underdiagnosed, requiring integrated care models. The conference agenda will include disciplines such as gynaecology, urology, gastroenterology, pain medicine, physiotherapy and mental health.

Sessions will cover mechanisms including central sensitisation and hormonal influences, along with topics such as the gut microbiome and pelvic pain syndromes. Discussions will examine links between irritable bowel syndrome and chronic pelvic pain.

The programme will include sessions on bladder-related pain and communication between systems. Topics such as urinary tract infections and bladder pain will be discussed in the context of clinical management.

The conference will include discussions on mental health, lifestyle modification and psychology in pain management. A debate will examine the relationship between stress and irritable bowel syndrome.

FEPPA 2026 will include sessions on adolescents and transgender individuals with pelvic pain. A panel discussion on endometriosis will focus on diagnosis and management.

The second day will include workshops on pelvic floor rehabilitation, biofeedback, yoga and functional training. The programme will also include paper presentations and expert discussions.

The conference will have participation from national and international faculty. It is accredited with Tamil Nadu Medical Council credit points.
