Shankara Cancer Hospital, 4baseCare partners to make comprehensive genomic testing more affordable for cancer patients
A key objective of the partnership is to make comprehensive genomic profiling more affordable and accessible.
4baseCare, a precision oncology company focused on making personalized cancer care accessible and affordable, has partnered with Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre to strengthen its precision oncology capabilities by integrating advanced Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based genomic testing into routine clinical practice.
As part of the collaboration, Shankara Cancer Hospital has upgraded its molecular diagnostics laboratory with a high throughput and advanced Next Generation Sequencing platform and adopted TARGT Indiegene, 4baseCare’s comprehensive genomic profiling assay. The test analyzes over 1,200 cancer-associated genes using integrated DNA and RNA sequencing, enabling the detection of clinically actionable biomarkers that help oncologists make more informed, personalized treatment decisions.
A key objective of the partnership is to make comprehensive genomic profiling more affordable and accessible. Through this initiative, TARGT Indiegene will be offered at a subsidized cost, allowing many more cancer patients to benefit from precision oncology who previously may not have had access due to the high cost of testing.
Dr B S Srinath, Managing Trustee, Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation, said, “At Shankara, we are committed to ensuring that every cancer patient has access to the best possible care. Integrating advanced genomic testing into our clinical practice is an important step towards delivering truly personalized treatment. By partnering with 4baseCare, we are not only strengthening our molecular diagnostics capabilities but also making comprehensive genomic testing more affordable, enabling more patients to benefit from precision oncology. This collaboration also brings new technologies into our practice and we will continue working together in the shared belief that sustained collaborative effort is what drives real progress in improving the quality of care for cancer patients.”
Hitesh Goswami, CEO & Co-Founder, 4baseCare, said, “Precision oncology should not be limited by affordability. Our partnership with Shankara reflects a shared commitment to making comprehensive genomic profiling accessible to more patients while equipping oncologists with deeper molecular insights to guide treatment decisions. Together, we hope to make personalized cancer care a standard of care rather than an exception.”
The collaboration reinforces both organizations’ commitment to expanding access to precision oncology by combining advanced genomics with affordable testing, enabling more cancer patients to receive personalized, evidence-based treatment.
