The Child Heart Foundation, in association with Select City Walk Mall, organised an art exhibition for a cause on the occasion of World Heart Awareness Day.

Patients and their families along with cardiologist and paediatrics of the leading medical institutes gathered to spread awareness about the disease among patient organisations, health and individuals who are unaware of this life-threatening disorder.

Dr Vikas Kohli, Chief Trustee, Child Heart Foundation said, “Feeling very happy to see the magic that is happening today with Kids with heart problem drawing with their hearts. We have been helping several children with their diagnosis and treatment of heart disease for several years. Our objective is to address the social problem of heart attacks early in life as heart disease is the commonest birth defect in children. However, consistent efforts are required to help these kids who need medical help. Mandarins, local parliamentarians and all of us should come forward and help and donate generously as much as we can.”

The day witnessed a gathering of young children suffering from congenital heart defects, accompanied by their families, with a hope for a better future for themselves. Also, the children from various schools contributed towards this noble cause. The paintings made by these school kids were put on auction, with an idea to donate the money raised from the sale for the treatment of underprivileged kids.
