Indian Spinal Injuries Centre ties up with Delhi Heart and Lung Institute
Specialist doctors from ISIC will conduct OPDs at DHLI
Indian Spinal Injuries Centre(ISIC) and Delhi Heart and Lung Institute(DHLI) have joined hands to provide services of orthopaedics, joint replacement, spine injury & disease, neurology, and neurosurgery at DHLI, New Delhi.
ISIC is also celebrating its annual day today in honour of its Chairman, Major HPS Ahluwalia, who went to Mount Everest on 29th May 1965 and survived a bullet injury the very same year in the Indo-Pak war.
It was started in 1997 under his leadership as a unique centre for spine injury and its treatment using the latest technology. There is no hospital or medical centre in Delhi that specialises in such services to look after the patient and society at large. DHLI is a specialised centre in cardiac and pulmonary care. Hence they are going to be complimentary to each other.
Under this initiative, specialist doctors from ISIC will be conducting OPDs at DHLI. Initially surgeries will be done at ISIC. Surgeries would resume at DHLI once there are enough number of cases and it develops support manpower like resident doctors for 24 hours back up.
