Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad, has received Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation for the fourth consecutive cycle, reaffirming its compliance with over 1,000 standards related to clinical care, infrastructure, operational processes and staff competence.

The hospital first obtained JCI accreditation in 2016 and has since sustained adherence to the requirements of one of the most stringent international evaluations in healthcare. JCI accreditation is awarded to institutions that consistently demonstrate measurable outcomes in patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and overall hospital governance.

“This fourth consecutive JCI accreditation is a reflection of the unwavering commitment of our doctors, nursing teams, and support staff. More than a badge of honour, it is a reassurance to our patients that they are receiving care at a facility that upholds the highest international standards for quality, patient safety, and excellence,” said Cdr Jeslon Kavalakkat, CEO of Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad.

The accreditation is based on an evaluation by international surveyors using the SAFER Matrix (Survey Analysis for Evaluating Risk). This tool highlights high-priority areas to support hospitals in ongoing quality improvement efforts while maintaining patient safety.

Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad, remains one of the few institutions in western India to secure this accreditation across four assessment cycles. This consistency is attributed to a continued focus on evidence-based clinical practices, system improvement, and patient-centred care.
