Clove Dental to open 600 clinics by 2019 in India

Plans to invest another $25-30 million in the next four years

Clove Dental, a multi-speciality dental care chain from the house of Star Dental and promoted by Global Dental Services, will increase its number of clinics by 150 by the end of this year. Currently, Clove Dental has 116 clinics, which are operational. This information was provided by Amarinder Singh, CEO, Clove Dental, at a recently held event in New Delhi.

Clove Dental,which has so far invested $25 million and plans to invest another $25-30 million, aims to set up 600 clinics, by adding 10-12 clinics every month for the next four years.

“The dental care market in India is witnessing a healthy growth with Indian customers demanding international treatment and care. Encouraged by the response, we now set ourselves to an ambitious target of becoming the neighbourhood dental clinic for every Indian over the next five years,” said Singh.

Clove also plans to build adjacencies around dental business including dental case review outsourcing to service global chains. Currently, Clove Dental has an in-house dental lab and incubating – a b2b marketplace for dental consumables and equipment.

Others who took part in the event were Dr Nitin Doshi, New York-based dentist entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist and board member; Scott Bayman, Former CEO, GE India and Board Member, Clove Dental and Olivier Perier, MD SPDG and Board Member, Global Dental, Holding Company of Clove Dental.
