Trivitron has had a strong work culture since its inception. We all are engaged and connected which keeps us motivated and happy, which automatically increases productivity. I believe in an environment of trust and openness, where our employees bring great ideas to work about the growth and culture of the company. Every individual is different with their own set of expertise, skillset, values, cultural backgrounds, influences, and beliefs, and if we can give the platform to utilise the potential of an individual then there is no such reason why an individual cannot give the best desired performance.

What trends are you observing in talent landscape in medtech industry?

The nature of the medtech industry demands a workforce that is highly skilled, educated, and flexible. High-quality workers and scientists are in demand for R&D. Similarly for the integration of AI and modern innovations, scientists, engineers, and nanotechnologists are playing a major role.

Every individual is different with their own set of expertise, skillset, values, cultural backgrounds, influences, and beliefs, and if we are able to completely utilise the potential of an individual then there is no such reason why an individual cannot give the best-desired performance.

At Trivitron, we value the potential and talent of an individual based on their skill set, calibre & performance. We welcome fresher as their fresh and innovative minds can do wonders. We hire people from different backgrounds and experiences that help us bring workplace diversity and promote overall growth. With our robust practices, we help our employee attain their highest potential, making us a Great Place To Work.

We also focus on ensuring we have an environment of trust and openness, where our employees can feel safe to take interpersonal and ideational risks.

You are one of those few leaders who have transitioned from non-HR background to HR and now leading the organisation as Group CEO. How did you champion these functions?

Trivitron Healthcare is a culturally diversified organisation and we follow 3P’s – People, Process, and Performance to make a difference. People are our foundation that binds our organisation together. Embracing diversity and inclusion at all levels act as a core strategy to move forward. We build an ambiance that unleashes innovation, allows people to function at their best, and underpins a culture in which everyone feels they have an equitable opportunity to relate and build a career. According to my experience, an organisation that is diversity-inclusive is more likely to be the leader of innovation. Every organization must embrace diversity and inclusion programs and as a leader, I always ensure that our workplace is diverse and inclusive as it helps build positive workplace relation, offer employee with job satisfaction, promotes equality, and also enhance the engagement of the employee.

I am never concerned about my designation however I was always attracted to the role which required multi-tasking and gave me scope to implement new initiatives.

What initiatives has Trivitron taken to increase diversity quotient within organisation and your role in providing an enabling environment?

Trivitron has developed and still improvising a strong culture, since its inception. Employees are engaged and connected which keeps them motivated and happy which automatically increases their productivity. Diversity drives innovation and enhances productivity. In Trivitron, we follow diversity and inclusion initiatives not only for culture building but also to increase the overall bottom line with a more diverse workforce. Developing a diversity and inclusion initiative involves phases like cross culture building, strategy building to match business objectives, and promotion of talent.

Being a multinational organisation, we operate from various countries. Hence, cross culture building is the main focus for us. Strategy building to match business objectives, it is an initiative where individuals from different departments, demographics, and backgrounds come together and work for the common business goals as one team. Different assignments and projects are given to them in line with the business objective and irrespective of their backgrounds as a team they are supposed to deliver the result under the guidance of the leadership team, which in turn not only gives success to the project but also helps each individual to get developed on the different aspects of the business.

Your advice to professionals who aspire to explore interdisciplinary functions?

To deliver the best outcomes in interdisciplinary function, I believe in time management and domain knowledge plays a vital role. At Trivitron Healthcare, I am handling multiple roles and responsibilities, which helped me to come out of my comfort zone.

A seasoned professional is always an important asset to an organisation. He/she has a lot to offer. Along with your domain expertise which needs upgrading every now and then, developing certain other skills can help you master your job role and evolve yourself as a seasoned professional while performing multiple roles.

As an industry leader, overseeing leadership roles for the last two decades, my advice for everyone, irrespective of their job roles is to keep yourself updated about the industry you are in and learn to be tech-savvy. Also, nothing can replace your hard work, commitment towards your job, and a positive mind-set. Be open to learning and accept failures as a part of your learning.

Besides work, what are your other callings that keep you energised?

Every day brings something new and different and that surprises me, motivates me and keeps me energized. I like learning new things that I never could have imagined I would have encountered.
