Narang will ensure efficient functioning of different verticals of Paras Group
Paras Hospitals has appointed Dr Shankar Narang as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Narang will oversee the operations of Paras Group hospitals and healthcare verticals including Paras Hospitals (the chain of multi super-speciality hospitals), Paras Bliss (chain of mother and child care hospitals) and Paras Cancer Centre (chain of specialised cancer care centres). Narang, having an experience of 15 years in the healthcare vertical, will focus on clinical structuring, operational efficiency and evidence-based medicine, inclusion of best HR-based practices, quality orientation and training.
Narang would facilitate operations, finance and EBIDTA levels of each unit. The human resource and sales and marketing of the units will be strengthened under his expertise.
“For me joining back Paras is like home coming. I was the GM operations and Quality of Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon – the first flagship hospital of Paras Healthcare. My challenging role taught me exceptional attributes of the healthcare industry. Here in Paras, we shall be focusing on formulating robust operational systems, plans which will help in cost optimisation, manpower utilisation and shall encompass the overall growth of the hospital chain as a specialised provider for the community,” Narang said.
Commenting on his appointment, Group MD Paras Hospital, Dr Dharminder Nagar said,“As we set on major expansion plans across North India, we need to strengthen our leadership to enable Paras Healthcare bridge the healthcare gap and become community healthcare providers that deliver specialised medical expertise based on affordability, accessibility and quality.”
