PD Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre recently conducted a four-day free health examination camp for police officers at Mahim Police Station. The camp saw participation from more than 60 policemen from all cadres. PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC’s objective of organising the camp was to sensitise policemen and bring to the forefront the importance of taking good care of one’s health at every stage of their lives.

During the camp, a team of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and technicians from PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC provided free consultation and prognosis to participants who underwent multiple tests. The participants underwent 25 tests which included a complete Body Composition Analysis, Complete Blood Count (CBC), Blood Pressure (BP), Blood Sugar, Thyroid, Cholesterol, Hepatitis B test, Creatinine, LDH, HDL, and more.

Joy Chakraborty, COO, PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC said, “A policeman’s job is highly stressful with them usually spending long hours at work with irregular eating schedules. Through this camp, we wanted to create awareness about good health and motivate them to take better care of themselves. Organising this camp is a step towards addressing the health concerns of policemen who work hard towards maintaining the safety and peace of this city and country. We believe that organising and carrying out events such as these is a representation of our commitment and endeavour towards achieving Quality Healthcare for All.”

The examination camp was followed by a doctor consultation programme where all the participants were given a free consultation at the police station by a team of experts from the hospital.
