Teleradiology Solutions’ portal Radguru.net is to make e-learning interactive and stimulating for radiology residents

Bengaluru-based Teleradiology Solutions has collaborated with National Board of Medical Examiners, New Delhi, across the country through its flagship elearning portal www.radguru.net.

In a unique three location cyber event, Dr Arjun Kalyanpur, Chief Radiologist and Co founder of Teleradiology Solutions welcomed the participants over the radguru portal; beamed from their Bangalore office in Whitefield and led the virtual audience through a walk through of the portal. Earlier this week, Teleradiology Solutions received the “Best Healthcare Services” in 2015 by VCCircle.

The radguru portal already has over 188 recorded lectures and tutorials in the radiology domain, as well as quizzes and case presentations. The goal of the portal is to make e-learning interactive and stimulating for radiology residents. The tie-up with the National Board of Examiners allows over 800 postgraduate students in radiology and allow them to obtain high quality training from Radguru’s domestic and international faculty.

Speaking at the launch, Dr Kalyanpur highlighted the critical shortages of radiologists in the country where there are only 10,000 radiologists for a population of over a billion, necessitating technology innovations such as teleradiology and e-learning.

Joined by Dr Bipin Batra, the Executive Director , National Board of Examinations from NBE headquarters from Delhi , the portal was inaugurated by a virtual ribbon cutting. He took this occasion to highlight the initiatives of the NBME in promoting subspecialty medical education in the country.

Prof Sneh Bhargava gave the key note lecture on ‘Creating the Radiologists of the Future’ from Teleradiology Solutions’ Delhi office beamed live to all the radiologists logged in from different parts of the country.
