TERN Group, an AI-powered global talent mobility platform, has announced that it has raised $24 million in Series A funding. The round was led by UK-based Notion Capital, with participation from RTP Global, LocalGlobe, EQ2 Ventures, and Leo Capital, along with existing investors Presight, Tom Stafford (Co-founder, DST Global), the former NHS Chairman, the CEO of AXA Healthcare, and several senior policymakers. This funding round brings TERN Group’s total raised capital to $33 million.

Founded by IIT Bombay alumni and second-time entrepreneurs, who were former senior executives at Urban Company and Cars24, TERN Group has scaled operations rapidly across India, the UK, Germany, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and North Africa. In the past year alone, the company reported tenfold growth, nearing ₹200 crore in annualised revenues, with operations across 13 countries.

“With India’s talent at the heart of our mission, TERN Group is building the workforce infrastructure that makes global healthcare careers seamless, transparent, and trusted,” said Avinav Nigam, Founder & CEO of TERN Group. “This funding allows us to double down on three priorities: expanding into new geographies, investing further in our AI platform, and scale our training and operations to support thousands more professionals every year.”

According to the company, the newly raised funds will be used to fuel TERN’s global expansion, strengthen its AI-powered Clinical Workforce platform, and scale training infrastructure to prepare more Indian nurses and care workers for international careers.

Currently, more than 650,000 professionals from 13 countries are registered on the TERN platform, where they can access career pathways, upskilling opportunities, and direct job placements with reputed employers. Each year, the company trains 1,000–2,000 Indian nurses and holds over 25 per cent market share of the German language training market in India, a requirement for healthcare placements in Germany.

TERN’s AI-led model has reportedly shortened hiring timelines by 60 per cent, delivered placement outcomes four times higher than the national average, and achieved a 96 per cent retention rate after joining. It operates as a zero-fee recruitment platform across six key destinations: Germany, the UK, Japan, the USA, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Investors highlighted the company’s position in a sector that requires both compliance and scalability. “At RTP Global, we love backing founders who take on big challenges with heart. Avinav and Krishna are just those founders – solving problems they’ve lived and felt. With TERN, they’re reimagining global talent mobility in a way that’s ethical, scalable, and deeply human, turning it into a powerful, tech-driven solution. We can’t wait to see how TERN will continue to change lives across borders, and we’re delighted to back them on this journey,” said Galina Chifina, CEO of RTP Global.

TERN has also established partnerships with the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and several state governments to ensure training and compliance at scale. The company reports that more than 100 hospitals and nursing colleges worldwide already work with TERN to hire skilled Indian professionals prepared for international healthcare standards.

Nigam added, “Our mission is bigger than filling vacancies. Every successful placement changes the trajectory of a family, strengthens a healthcare system, and moves lives forward. With this raise, we’re building not just a platform, but the backbone of global talent mobility and workforce management – aligned with the honourable PM’s Skill India Mission to make India the world’s leading hub for high quality healthcare talent.”
