RoboGynIndia 2025 concludes in Mumbai with emphasis on advancing robotic gynaecology in India
The Association of Gynaecological Robotic Surgeons of India and Vattikuti Foundation highlight emerging talent and collaboration at the annual conference
RoboGynIndia 2025, the annual event of the Association of Gynaecological Robotic Surgeons of India (AGRS), concluded its fourth edition on August 3 at the Taj Santacruz, Mumbai. The two-day event, held on August 2–3, was themed “Robotic Surgery in Gynaecology—Redefining Boundaries” and brought together experts from across India and globally for academic and clinical discussions.
Organised in association with the Vattikuti Foundation, the conference featured sessions by leading robotic gynaecologic surgeons. The event was attended by Tina Ambani, Chairperson of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, as Chief Guest, and actor and cancer survivor Sonali Bendre as Special Guest. Both speakers stressed the role of innovation in women’s healthcare and the need for increased access to advanced surgical technologies.
The Vattikuti Foundation continued its collaboration with AGRS by supporting the Vattikuti Scholar Awards. Five emerging robotic surgeons were honoured for their surgical video presentations, receiving a $500 grant each and the title of AGRS Vattikuti Scholar.
Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, CEO of the Vattikuti Foundation, said, “RoboGynIndia 2025 has once again demonstrated the incredible depth of talent and innovation within India’s robotic surgical community. Our association with this platform reflects the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing the ecosystem, beginning with training the early pioneers in robotic gynaecology to now enabling the next generation of surgical leaders. Through initiatives like the AGRS Vattikuti Scholars and Champions Awards, we are proud to recognise emerging talent, foster innovation and drive the future of women’s healthcare.”
