CORE Diagnostics receives international accreditation from College of American Pathologists (CAP)

The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is recognised by the US federal government as equal to or more-stringent-than the government’s own inspection programme

CORE Diagnostics has recently received an accreditation certification from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of a recent assessment as part of the CAP’s Accreditation Programs, a statement from the company said.

Commenting on the accomplishment, Dinesh Chauhan, CEO, CORE Diagnostics, said, “We are proud to join the ranks of the most elite laboratories in the world, and our team behind this deserves all the accolades. The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is recognised by the US federal government as equal to or more-stringent-than the government’s own inspection programme. In the accreditation process, inspectors examined the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. To ensure the lab meets CAP’s stringent quality criteria, the CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety programme and record and the overall management, notified the statement.

It claimed that CORE Diagnostics becomes one of the nearly 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide and one of only fourteen stand-alone labs in India. This certification by CAP accredits a whole range of tests that includes diagnosis in fields like cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, gynaecology and nephrology.
