Cyrix Healthcare, a portfolio company of Somerset Indus Capital Partners Fund III, has completed the acquisition of the MedTech Solutions business of Blue Star Engineering & Electronics Ltd. (Blue Star E&E), effective September 1, 2026.
The acquisition strengthens Cyrix Healthcare’s capabilities in medical imaging, equipment sales, installation, maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and lifecycle management.
The transaction brings together Blue Star E&E’s MedTech Solutions business, experienced professionals, customer relationships and expertise in multi-brand CT and MRI with Cyrix Healthcare’s Total MedTech Management platform.
The acquisition forms part of Cyrix Healthcare’s growth strategy of expanding its capabilities and scale through organic growth and strategic M&A, as it builds a Total MedTech Management platform across India, the Middle East and Africa.
All existing Blue Star E&E MedTech Solutions customers will continue to be supported by the same teams, now as part of Cyrix Healthcare, ensuring continuity of service. The transaction has been completed with immediate effect. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Blue Star E&E’s MedTech Solutions team brings experience across CT and MRI, covering sales, clinical applications, installation, maintenance, repairs and equipment management. The team has experience across more than 250 CT and MRI installations, together with established customer relationships and imaging expertise across India.
The addition strengthens Cyrix Healthcare’s capabilities across the medical imaging lifecycle, from equipment sales and clinical applications to installation, maintenance, repairs and refurbishment.
Blue Star E&E’s refurbishment capabilities will further strengthen AURUM, Cyrix Healthcare’s refurbished medical equipment business, particularly in refurbished CT and MRI systems. The combined platform will also provide access to refurbished equipment, spare parts and accessories, supported by Cyrix Healthcare’s warehouse and service network across India.
Cyrix Healthcare has built its business around Total MedTech Management, helping healthcare providers manage medical technologies across their complete lifecycle through a single accountable partner.
Its capabilities include multi-vendor installation and maintenance, calibration, quality assurance, repairs, refurbishment, lifecycle planning, digital asset management, product solutions and technical expertise.

The addition of Blue Star E&E MedTech Solutions brings further depth in CT/MRI, imaging products, clinical applications, installation, maintenance, repairs and refurbishment, while expanding the people, products and resources available to healthcare providers.
For hospitals, this means access to CT/MRI expertise, imaging and refurbishment options, spare-parts availability, service capabilities and a support network through one partner.
