The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India has been on a rise. It is vital to calculate accurate infection that is critical for getting public safety measures right. One of the key factors in tackling the spread of COVID-19 is testing. Currently, there are a few thousand individuals who are yet to be tested for the COVID-19.

To help with the diagnosis, DocsApp has partnered with various accredited pathological labs to collect samples at home for COVID-19. Individuals can consult a doctor on the platform where COVID-19 medical consultation is provided free. So far, the platform has witnessed over 23000 queries from concerned people related to the coronavirus, from all over the country. Based on the ICMR guidelines the doctor will suggest if or not the patient requires a test. This facility would be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Karnataka, Haryana, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

The prescriptions to get tested will be provided as per ICMR (Indian Council for Medical Research) guidelines; evaluation of symptoms, risk factor basis the patient’s travel history, contact with other affected patients, and co-morbidity.

Patients with a valid prescription can book appointments with DocsApp via call or email through its path-lab partners however the cost will vary from one lab to another. The test consists of two levels, the first one being a screening test to detect coronavirus. If the results are positive, a confirmatory test is conducted. Patients will get both the levels in their home lab test. DocsApp will follow the strict protocol of the regulatory body to transport the sample of patients.

Patients will get their reports directly from the labs within two days of sample collection and positive cases will be reported to ICMR and National Institute of Virology as per the government guidelines.
