Dr Ajay Phadke of SRL-Phadke Labs has launched Mind Your Mind (MYM), a digital counselling platform that seeks to address emotional and psychological concerns, ranging from reducing distressing thoughts to increasing work performance. The experts on the platform include psychologists, life coaches, sexologists, counsellors, social workers, speech and occupational therapists, marriage and family therapists, and psychiatrists with different areas of expertise. The experts use various modes of digital communication for interaction based on the users’ preference.

Commenting on the launch of MYM, Dr Ajay Phadke, Founder and CEO said, “All of us go through situations in life that affect our mental and emotional health and disturb our peace of mind. It could be a particular event or a hectic lifestyle that could interfere with our psychological well-being. The aim of this venture is to help people deal with such issues and lead a positive lifestyle. We want to eliminate the misconceptions and stigmas around seeking professional counselling for addressing mental/emotional concerns. You don’t need to be clinically ill to consult an expert; even day-to-day challenges can be addressed through counselling. We believe technology can play a huge role in providing access to quality healthcare in a secured and comfortable way and overall contribute to mental wellness of the society.”

Mind Your Mind has been co-founded by Dr Alvin Alva and he is also the COO of the venture. Commenting on the need of a platform like MYM, he said, “India as a country has been grappling with issues like access to quality healthcare. These issues get further heightened when it comes to mental health, due to incorrect notions and lack of awareness. One in four people suffer from some kind of psychological concern at least once in their life. These concerns if ignored at early stages can become serious long term problems. Hence, a platform like MYM becomes essential to provide them with a secured environment, devoid of any societal intervention.”
