Parkway Pantai, one of Asia’s private healthcare groups, has appointed Dr Jagprag Singh Gujral as the Chief Operating Officer for its network of eight Global Hospitals in India. Dr Gujral will be based in Parkway Pantai’s corporate headquarters in Hyderabad.

A doctor with an MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, Dr Gujral has more than 18 years of experience in the healthcare sector, with a strong focus on corporate strategy, management consulting and operations. He has a solid track record in leading teams to deliver patient-centric clinical modules, marketing-oriented strategies, business analytics and doctor engagement. Prior to this, Dr Gujral was the Executive Director of investment banking at AnandRathi Advisors, where he was instrumental in building a successful healthcare investment banking and advisory practice.

Dr Gujral said, “I am excited to be part of Parkway Pantai, which is well known in Asia for its medical excellence. While Global Hospitals has created a niche in clinical excellence in certain specialities, I believe we can leverage the expertise of Parkway Pantai in delivering quality patient experience across geographies and synergise our operations and businesses to help us achieve the next level of growth.”

“The role of Chief Operating Officer in Global Hospitals, Parkway Pantai’s largest India healthcare network, is crucial in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our hospitals and superior patient experience. We are confident Dr Gujral has what it takes to excel in the job,” said Ramesh Krishnan, CEO, India Operations Division, and Parkway Pantai.

Dr K Ravindranath, Founder and Chairman, Global Hospitals, said, “Dr Gujral brings to the organisation his vast experience in consulting and private equity, predominantly focused on healthcare. We are confident he will contribute to the continual growth of Global Hospitals and steer us forward, beyond our current capabilities as a pioneer and leader in organ transplantation, quaternary and super-speciality care.”
