In 2023, Arshia Baid launched KaamPro with a simple yet powerful vision – to make employment more accessible, transparent and equitable for India’s young blue-collar workforce. Designed as a digital employment platform, KaamPro connects jobseekers with verified employers, reducing dependence on informal hiring networks that often expose workers to exploitation, wage insecurity and unsafe working conditions. Today, the platform has expanded its presence across 11 states, creating pathways to fair and dignified employment for thousands of young Indians.

Recognising that many first-time jobseekers faced barriers in navigating complex registration processes, Arshia redesigned the onboarding experience to make it inclusive and accessible. KaamPro introduced a simplified registration system in regional languages, supported by Aadhaar-based verification, enabling workers to create authenticated profiles with ease. The process not only improved access to formal employment opportunities but also strengthened transparency and helped prevent underage applicants from entering the workforce.

Beyond technology, KaamPro has focused on building awareness around employment rights. Together with a dedicated volunteer network, Arshia has conducted structured career and employment awareness sessions across more than 26 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and government schools, reaching hundreds of students at each institution. These sessions equip young people with practical knowledge on employment contracts, fair wages, workplace safety, legal rights and ethical recruitment practices, empowering them to make informed career decisions and recognise exploitative employment practices before accepting a job.

KaamPro has also extended its impact to more than 68 rural communities, where informal employment and child labour remain persistent challenges. Through community engagement and family awareness programmes, the initiative has educated young jobseekers and their families on safe employment pathways, legal protections and the importance of choosing verified employers over informal intermediaries. By participating in job fairs and direct placement drives, KaamPro has helped connect candidates with credible employers, reducing dependence on contractors and unregulated labour channels.

The platform’s impact continues to grow. To date, more than 50,000 jobseekers have registered on KaamPro, with nearly 60 per cent successfully connected to verified employment opportunities. Each placement represents more than a job—it signifies access to a safer, more structured and rights-based employment ecosystem that promotes dignity, security and long-term career growth.

KaamPro’s innovative approach has earned widespread recognition. Arshia Baid received the prestigious Conrad Innovator Award and has been recognised among the Top 100 Emerging Innovators for two consecutive years. In 2025, the Government of Rajasthan, through the Zila Rozgar Karyalay, Barmer, formally acknowledged KaamPro’s contribution to youth employment, while Singhania University recognised the platform for facilitating meaningful student placements.

Through KaamPro, Arshia Baid is demonstrating how technology, grassroots engagement and a commitment to social impact can transform access to safe, fair and dignified employment. By bridging the gap between young jobseekers and trusted employers, KaamPro is helping shape a more inclusive workforce and contributing to India’s vision of sustainable economic growth and equitable opportunities for its youth.
