The awards were presented at the Centenary Celebrations of Medical Conferences in India
Indian Medical Association (IMA) recently honoured Dr Hrishikesh Pai, Secretary General, Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) with the Doctor of the Year Award and Dr Rishma Dhillon Pai, President, FOGSI was accorded with the Woman Empowerment Award. The awards were presented at the Centenary Celebrations of Medical Conferences in India, organised by IMA in New Delhi.
Speaking about the award, Dr Hrishikesh Pai, said, “I am happy and grateful to receive this award from the IMA, which is one of the leading associations in the country working towards the betterment of the medical fraternity, medical students, and the community at large. I have always believed in giving back to society. This award is, thus, an encouragement for me to push myself to continue working for the community with the knowledge I possess and is definitely a landmark recognition in my career.”
Accepting her award, Dr Rishma Dhillon Pai said, “It is an honour to receive the Woman Empowerment Award from IMA. As someone who believes that women can achieve what they dream of, I believe this award will be an encouragement to many other such women who wish to work for the betterment of the society through their field of work. I thank IMA for this award, which is another big milestone in my career.”
