GAIMS commended as the second best civil hospital in Gujarat for its performance in Ayushman Bharat Yojana

The Adani Foundation run medical college-cum hospital has also recently completed 10 years of its service

Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Science (GAIMS), G.K. General Hospital, Bhuj, has been commended as the second best civil hospital in Gujarat for its contribution towards the Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).

The institute, which is based on a Public Partnership Partnership (PPP) model between Adani Education and Research Foundation and Government of Gujarat, has recently completed 10 years of its service.

GAIMS is a medical college, while G.K. General Hospital is a multi-specialty hospital which experiences a footfall of around 1000 patients each day. Both the institutes are operated by the Adani foundation under its Corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

“Adani G K General Hospital caters specifically to the healthcare needs of the poor and marginalized sections of the society. People from special and deserving categories receive further specialized and free IPD services. In addition, the hospital also connects people with various government schemes such as Ayushman Yojana, MA Yojana, students’ healthcare program, etc.,” said Mr. Vasant Gadhavi, Director Administration, GAIMS.
