Geri Care Conclave 2026 brings 200+ clinicians together in Coimbatore

Geri Care concluded the Geri Care Geriatrics Conclave 2026 and the 3rd Asia Pacific Geriatric Oncology Society (AGOS) Conference, held on August 29-30 at The Residency Towers, Coimbatore.

The two-day conference brought together 200+ clinicians, including geriatricians, oncologists, physicians and postgraduate students from India and abroad to discuss emerging trends, challenges and best practices in geriatrics and geriatric oncology. The conclave was organised under the aegis of the Geri Care Foundation in association with the Indian Academy of Geriatrics (IAG) and AGOS.

The conclave featured keynotes by Dr S. Sadasivam, one of India’s senior most practising surgical oncologists, Dr Hemant Malhotra, President, Indian Society of Oncology & Director of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Jaipur, and Dr Purvish Parikh, President of the Asian Geriatric Oncology Society (AGOS). The programme was chaired by Dr Rejiv Rajendranath, Clinical Lead, Geriatric Oncology at Geri Care. The conference also saw participation from faculty and experts in geriatrics and geriatric oncology from India and abroad.

Themed “From Frailty to Function,” the conclave featured scientific sessions, keynote lectures, panel discussions and case-based deliberations covering frailty management, dementia care, geriatric rehabilitation, palliative care, heart failure in older adults, Parkinson’s rehabilitation, geriatric oncology, artificial intelligence in healthcare, machine learning applications and emerging technologies for elder care.

A dedicated Gero Technology Showcase featured products and solutions designed to improve the lives of older adults, spanning age-tech, assistive devices, remote monitoring, fall prevention, telehealth, caregiver support and AI-led innovations. The platform brought startups, established companies, researchers and grassroots innovators before clinicians and experts, creating opportunities for live demonstrations, industry interactions and collaborations.

The conclave also showcased advances in geriatric oncology, rehabilitation sciences and community-based elder care, while providing opportunities for academic exchange through scientific presentations, interactive case discussions and networking sessions among healthcare professionals.
