Karkinos Healthcare and Vinayaka Mission’s Group launches oncology institute in Puducherry

The institute aims to address the challenges in cancer care

Karkinos Healthcare and Vinayaka Mission’s Group including Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University) join hands to address the challenge of cancer care through the establishment of Vinayaka-Karkinos Oncology Institute (VKOI) within the premises of Vinayaka Mission’s Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS, a Corporate Hospital in Salem) and Aarupadai Veedu Medical College Hospital (AVMCH, Puducherry).

Vinayaka Medical Research Foundation (VMRF) offers education across  medicine, paramedicine, engineering, and technology to management and Karkinos Healthcare, is a technology-led oncology platform with an end-to-end patient navigation support and advanced research and diagnostics facilities, headquartered in Mumbai.

Dr Moni Abraham Kuriakose, Co-Founder, Medical Director, and CEO Karkinos Kerala said, “This strategic partnership will lay the groundwork for a fully integrated oncology institute in the hospital premise, at Salem and Puducherry with an aim of creating patient care model tailored to emerging market needs and also to enhance research capacity for Oncology.  The aim is to bring oncology capacity closer to the communities by expanding state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment options, under our distributed cancer care model.”
