Medanta – The Medicity announced the launch of its paediatrics department. Offering a bouquet of facilities such as general paediatrics, paediatric critical care, paediatrics neuroscience, paediatric surgery, urology etc, the hospital will cater to a larger audience from surrounding area and offer preliminary consultation from renowned doctors.
The paediatrics department will be headed by Dr Prof Sunit Singhi, Chairman, Division of Paediatrics, Medanta- The Medicity. The new department will function in sync with the existing paediatrics specialities at the hospital namely cardiac sciences, oncology (including BMT), orthopaedics, gastroenterology, nephrology and endocrinology. Medanta is also in the process of preparing a dedicated paediatric ward so that all paediatric IPD patients are managed in one area.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singhi, said, “Our focus has always been to provide the best medical treatment with an emphasis on bringing the world class care to the patients in Gurugram and neighbouring cities. The launch of paediatrics department will help in securing child’s health and offer ‘state of the art’ complete care to children with critical illness. The hospital has been witnessing lots of patients from surrounding areas like Manesar, Hisar, Bhiwani, Jhajjar apart from Delhi and Faridabad. The opening of new paediatrics department will help patients from these regions get the best medical facility.
