Metropolis Healthcare has partnered with International Academy of Pathology – Indian Division (IAP-ID) for a mid-year teaching programme. The programme will entail discussions on ‘how standardising histopathology onco reports would positively impact cancer patient care in India.’
Dr Anita Suryanarayan, Vice President (South India and Sri Lanka), Metropolis Healthcare, said, “Metropolis has always been at the forefront of such innovations and has focussed on regulation and standardisation. We have invited faculty from leading international and national centres to get a global and wider perspective.”
Dr Kirti Chadha, Head of Department, Oncology, Metropolis Healthcare added, “A complete and accurate pathology report is crucial for getting a precise diagnosis and deciding on the best treatment plan for the cancer patient. With the help of CAP cancer protocols, the pathologists shall receive assistance that are clinically useful and have relevant information when reporting surgical specimen examinations.
