Metropolis Healthcare has launched a new centre in Palakkad, Kerala. The 1,000 sq ft laboratory has the capacity to conduct more than 60,000 sample testing per month, the company said in a statement.
Sudharma Metropolis Laboratory, Palakkad, will offer about 4,500 different tests ranging from basic pathology tests to high-end molecular diagnostics tests, and has a capacity to evaluate over 1,000 samples per day, it added.
Speaking about the launch, Vijender Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Metropolis Healthcare, said, “In addition to our existing labs, we are proud to announce the launch of our new centre in Palakkad. The scientific team consists of pathologists, biochemists, geneticists, microbiologists, medical technologists and lab assistants. They work day in and day out to ensure precision in every test with a holistic view of providing an extensive test menu with fast turnaround time. While the pandemic is still lurking on our shoulders, we aim to be there for everyone who needs us.”
The statement notified that Sudharma Metropolis Laboratory offers extensive tests and reports of the highest quality at affordable rates.
Dr Ramesh Kumar, Chief of Laboratory, Metropolis Kerala, said, “The lab launch comes at an important time as the city witnesses new cases being recorded every day. Our aim with the new facility is to be available for more people around in their fight against the pandemic. The lab will have RT-PCR testing along with a variety of other complex molecular tests for which we will also offer support on report interpretation and analysis from our doctors.”
