Moonot Healthcare Foundation concluded two parallel academic programmes under the Mumbai Foot & Ankle Conference 2026, bringing together orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals from India and abroad.

The event featured the 2nd edition of the Mumbai Foot & Ankle Conference 2026 for orthopaedic surgeons and the 1st Mumbai Foot & Ankle Rehabilitation Conference 2026 for physiotherapists. The rehabilitation conference included a cadaveric foot and ankle workshop.

Dr Pradeep Moonot, Organising President of the conference, curated a coffee table book titled ‘The Arch’, comprising research paper compilations by surgeons. The book was released by Navneet Moonot, MD and CEO, HDFC AMC, who addressed the gathering.

The event recorded participation from over 250 delegates and 50 speakers, including experts and physiotherapists associated with the Indian cricket team and other sports institutions.

The workshop included training in techniques in minimally invasive surgery and trauma management in foot and ankle conditions. It was conducted in association with MGM Medical College, Indian Foot and Ankle Society and Bombay Orthopedic Society.

Dr Pradeep Moonot, Organising President of the conference, said, “The vision behind hosting dual conferences was to create a truly integrated learning platform for both surgeons and physiotherapists, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to foot and ankle care. The overwhelming response from delegates and the participation of globally respected faculty members reaffirm the growing importance of sub-specialisation in this field. The cadaveric workshop, in particular, was a landmark initiative, especially for physiotherapists, as it provided them with a rare opportunity to understand surgical anatomy and techniques first-hand. Additionally, the release of the coffee table book reflects our commitment to academic excellence and knowledge dissemination within the medical community.”

The conferences included lectures, panel discussions and case-based deliberations. Faculty shared information on developments in foot and ankle surgery, treatment methods, sports injury management, deformity correction and rehabilitation protocols.

Dr Shilpa Moonot, Organising Secretary of the conference, said, “This conference has successfully created a dynamic environment for learning, collaboration, and innovation. The inclusion of the Rehabilitation Conference alongside the surgical conference highlights the critical role physiotherapists play in ensuring optimal patient outcomes. We witnessed insightful discussions, evidence-based learning, and meaningful interactions among experts from diverse backgrounds. The participation of physiotherapists associated with elite sports teams further enriched the sessions with real-world perspectives. Such initiatives are essential to building a cohesive ecosystem that prioritises patient-centric care and continuous professional development.”

The conference included academic sessions, training and participation from experts across disciplines.
