Nova IVF Fertility (NIF) has opened its 100th fertility and IVF clinic in Jammu, marking a new milestone in its national expansion strategy. With this launch, the company has established 28 centres across 21 cities in Northern India, with the remaining clinics spread across Southern, Central, and Eastern India.

According to Nova IVF Fertility, the focus remains on expanding into tier 2 and tier 3 cities. The initiative aims to improve access to fertility care in underserved regions.

“The growth and expansion of Nova IVF are in tandem with the growing need for fertility care in India. In 2019, when Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH) acquired Nova IVF Fertility, we had 19 IVF centers, now this has reached 100 centers. We are now present in 63 cities around the country and are continuing to add our footprint closer to the community to fulfil their needs of parenthood. Our 100th centre is not just a number—it’s 100 doors to new beginnings,” said Shobhit Agarwal, CEO of Nova IVF Fertility.

India’s fertility rate has declined from 6.18 in 1950 to 2.0 today and is projected to fall to 1.29 by 2050. With a population facing both ageing and declining birth rates, Nova IVF aims to address fertility challenges through a wide-reaching network of clinics.

Over 50 per cent of Nova IVF’s new centres have been established in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, including Gorakhpur, Baroda, Aligarh, Vellore, Ludhiana, and Howrah. Each clinic adheres to standardised European protocols in clinical care and embryology, aiming to ensure consistency across geographies.

One in six Indian couples faces infertility. Male infertility accounts for nearly 40 per cent of cases, with issues such as azoospermia, oligospermia, and erectile dysfunction being prevalent. On the female side, conditions like PCOS, diminished ovarian reserve, and delayed parenthood are common.

“We’re seeing fertility challenges earlier and more common than ever before, in women it is now as low as the age group of 31–35 yrs,” said Dr. Rohit Gutgutia, Medical Director at Nova IVF. “That’s why we place embryology at the heart of IVF. 90 per cent of our IVF cycles use the couple’s own eggs and sperm, and our well-trained embryologists work intensely to optimise every such cycle for success.”

Nova IVF’s team comprises over 120 fertility specialists and more than 150 embryologists, with an average experience of 10 years. The scale of the network provides real-time data insights across diverse patient populations, enabling more targeted and adaptive treatment protocols.

The organisation is also adopting emerging technologies. Artificial Intelligence is being used to assess embryo viability, while Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) is available to screen for genetic conditions. Therapies such as ovarian rejuvenation and stem cell interventions are under exploration for patients with diminished ovarian function.
