Second edition of DIA MedTech Conference to focus on safe, smart, and scalable MedTech innovation

DIA (Drug Information Association), a global community of life sciences professionals, in collaboration with the Kerala Medical Technology Consortium (KMTC), will host the second edition of the DIA MedTech Conference 2026 under the theme “Concept to Care: Safe, Smart, and Scalable MedTech.” The two-day conference will take place on May 21-22, 2026 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, bringing together key stakeholders across the medical technology ecosystem.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the conference aims to provide a collaborative platform for regulators, industry leaders, innovators, healthcare professionals, start-ups, and academic experts to explore strategies that accelerate the development, regulation, and global adoption of medical technologies.

India’s MedTech sector is entering a phase of rapid transformation driven by innovation, digital health, and evolving regulatory frameworks,” said Dr Ashok Swain, General Manager & Executive Director – DIA India.

“The second edition of the DIA MedTech Conference will enable meaningful dialogue among regulators, innovators, and industry leaders to help translate groundbreaking ideas into safe, effective, and globally competitive healthcare solutions”, he added.

The conference is being organised in collaboration with KMTC, a consortium working to strengthen the medical technology ecosystem in Kerala by fostering collaboration between industry, academia, healthcare institutions, and government stakeholders.

The conference will feature keynote sessions, expert panels, and interactive discussions covering critical topics across the MedTech value chain. These include regulatory pathways and market access across India, the United States, and Europe; clinical evidence and performance evaluation; quality and compliance for global markets; and strategies to overcome barriers to international MedTech growth.
