The partnership to create access for Synapsica’s AI enabled PACS radiology workflow solution ‘Radiolens’ in 300+ tier 2 and 3 cities across India
Synapsica, AI-based radiology reporting company announced that it has partnered with Wipro GE backed GenWorks Health, a healthcare solutions provider to promote and distribute Synapsica’s AI enabled PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) radiology workflow solution ‘Radiolens’ across the country. The partnership will enable Synapsica to expand its geographic footprint and create access for Radiolens across 300+ tier 2 and 3 towns in states like Maharashtra, J&K, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Chennai, Rajasthan and the Northeast.
Radiology in India is a highly resource sensitive field with just 10,000 radiologists for a billion plus people. This huge supply gap means less time for radiologists with every report, insufficient reporting, and even incorrect reporting at times. Radiolens is Synapsica’s AI powered PACS workflow solution that makes diagnostic workflows smoother by automatically detecting bad quality scans and creating preliminary reports for some most common modalities. Radiolens provides AI-enabled quantitative and qualitative actionable insights to boost the reporting speed and accuracy. The reports generated with the help of Radiolens enable clinicians to better understand the patient’s condition and the extent of the disease and be more objective in their recommendation. Radiolens is already being used across 500+ locations in 15 countries including US, UK, Australia and Dubai, and handles 1 million+ cases annually.
Meenakshi Singh, Co-founder & CEO, Synapsica said, “The supply of radiologists in India has not kept pace with the rapidly growing demand for radiology reporting in the country, leading to extreme pressure on the time spent by radiologists on each report. This is where Radiolens, our AI powered solution makes a difference by automating several tasks in the workflow for radiologists and offering greater insights for a more objective outcome. We are confident that GenWorks, with their deep network, will take our solution to healthcare providers in tier 2 and 3 cities and towns across the country and enable us to help these hospitals and diagnostic labs generate high quality radiology reports”.
Ganesh Prasad MD & CEO said, “We forge partnerships that enable access to quality healthcare infrastructure for everyone. Synapsica’s Radiolens is a fantastic innovation and fits very well with our mission. The partnership will allow hospitals and diagnostic centres to have access to healthcare specialists available on Synapsica’s platform efficiently and support with diagnostics reporting 24X7 which plays an important role in improving patient care.”
