Union Health Minister inaugurates robotic surgery department at Yashoda Hospital

The hospital has installed one of the 4th gen robotic surgery programmes, Da Vinci by US based Intuitive, at the newly opened department

Yashoda Super Specialty Hospital has launched a new department for Robotic surgery and Artificial Intelligence. The department was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh L Mandaviya in the presence of Union Ministers, Hardeep Singh Puri and Gen V K Singh.

In order to make new age surgical technologies accessible to a larger population, the hospital has installed one of the 4th gen robotic surgery programmes, Da Vinci by US based Intuitive, at the newly opened department. The hospital aims to make RAS affordable and accessible to the public through this initiative, with a focus on driving better patient outcomes.

While inaugurating the department and scientific session, Dr Mandaviya said that it is setting a milestone in the journey of health for all mission of Government of India. He said that it is not only professional work for them to add these kind of services but they are doing it for the growth of the nation. He said the mindset of the nation has changed after 2014 that people were only expecting government to work for the nation but now private hospitals have started to come in the front with a holistic approach for the growth of the nation.

Puri said that other private hospitals should also come up with such great initiatives like Yashoda –Kaushambi to take India to a leading position in healthcare globally.
