Kauvery Hospital deploys NetSfere for secure clinical communication

Kauvery Hospital has deployed the NetSfere Secure Communications Platform across its hospital network to strengthen clinical communication and protect sensitive patient information.

With 12 hospitals across six locations and 900+ doctors and 7,000+ clinical staff, the initiative will enable secure communication across distributed care teams while supporting the Group’s data-protection and digital-health priorities.

The deployment builds on Kauvery Hospital’s focus on digital health and data security. The Group is among India’s private healthcare providers to receive Platinum certification under the NABH Digital Health Standards. It will implement the deployment over the next three years, covering 12,000+ users and 100+ teams.

The deployment is intended to support patient-data protection and the Group’s readiness for regulatory requirements, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act).

NetSfere will provide the Group with an enterprise-controlled communication platform as an alternative to fragmented communication systems and consumer messaging applications.

Strengthening digital health infrastructure

Healthcare teams exchange time-sensitive clinical and operational information across locations, making secure communication relevant to patient-data protection, access control and accountability.

Through NetSfere, Kauvery Hospital is establishing a centrally governed communication environment to enable coordination across distributed teams while strengthening control, visibility and auditability.

The deployment includes secure, mobile-first communication for clinical and operational teams; end-to-end and quantum-resilient encryption to protect sensitive information; centralised governance, access controls and audit trails; India-based deployment supporting local data governance; enterprise-grade security controls and certifications; and AI-enabled capabilities to improve information access and workflow efficiency.

The platform will also enable clinical and operational teams to move away from consumer messaging applications to a secure, enterprise-governed communication platform.

The initiative reflects a shift across the healthcare sector, where secure digital communication is becoming part of protecting patient data, enabling coordinated care and strengthening digital health infrastructure.
