Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad has launched a Dedicated Fever Clinic to provide evaluation, early diagnosis and treatment for patients presenting with seasonal and infectious illnesses in the Delhi-NCR region.

The clinic will operate from Monday to Saturday, between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and will be led by the Internal Medicine Team at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad.

Amid the monsoon and seasonal transition, the Delhi-NCR region has witnessed a rise in fever cases, driven by vector-borne and viral infections. The clinic will cater to conditions including seasonal viral infections, dengue, malaria, chikungunya, typhoid, influenza/H1N1, fevers of unknown origin or prolonged duration, other bacterial and infectious causes, and fevers in immunocompromised patients.

The clinic will provide dedicated fever consultations, laboratory investigations such as CBC and rapid diagnostic tests, pharmacy and medication support, day-care and observation facilities, emergency escalation and hospital admission referrals, and structured follow-up.

Speaking on the launch, Dr Rajesh Kumar Budhiraja, Senior Director, Internal Medicine, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, said, “Fever can have different causes, and timely assessment is important, particularly during the monsoon and seasonal change. The Dedicated Fever Clinic will provide patients with a focused point of care where their symptoms can be assessed, and appropriate tests can be advised. Early identification of warning signs can help ensure that patients receive timely care when further hospital management is required.”

Dr BN Singh, Director, Internal Medicine, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, said, “The aim of the fever clinic is to make the assessment and management of fever timely and more accessible for patients. Based on the symptoms, appropriate investigations can be advised, and patients can receive medical guidance at the same point of care. This can help in identifying potentially serious infections early and ensuring timely treatment and follow up.”

Dr Anurag Aggarwal, Senior Consultant, Internal Medicine, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, said, “Certain fevers can be managed with timely medical advice, while some patients may require closer observation or hospital care. The fever clinic will help assess patients at an early stage and identify warning signs that may require further medical attention. Timely treatment and follow up are important for ensuring appropriate care.”

Dr Abhishek Sharma, Facility Director, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, said, “With the launch of region’s first dedicated fever clinic, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad is strengthening access to timely fever care for patients in Faridabad and neighbouring regions. The clinic brings consultation, relevant investigations, observation, treatment support and follow up together, helping patients access the right care without having to navigate multiple departments.”
