Healthians in collaboration with Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), has announced the launch of the On-The-Job training programme of selected youth candidates who have enrolled in a dual training and skilling programme of B. Voc. MLT and public health/short term programmes offered by the Sri Vishwakarma Skilling University. The partnership aims to create 3000 jobs within the next 36 months.

Marking the beginning of this ambitious collaboration, Deepak Sahni, Founder and CEO, Healthians, said, “The pandemic has placed an extraordinary pressure on the healthcare sector due to increased consumer demand for healthcare services, especially in the preventive healthcare and diagnostics space. And since healthcare is a people-centric category, automation cannot replace what humans can deliver. Hence the demand for skilled professionals who can deliver good quality patient care is more heightened than ever. With an initiative like this, we intend to create a robust training platform for aspiring healthcare professionals, combining the strengths of on-the-job training with a comprehensive theoretical curriculum. And generate a pool of qualified healthcare professionals who are ready to fulfill the demands of the growing healthcare sector.”

The purpose of this programme is primarily to facilitate and create a pool of qualified job-ready skilled resources in the diagnostic sector, which will meet the industry-specific requirements by getting into a joint training mode for the course being undertaken by SVSU in collaboration with Healthians to execute the dual model skilling program.

Vice-Chancellor of SVSU stated that “This joint initiative will help in capacity building, training, exchange of information and health workforce development on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit. It provides opportunities for sharing and emulating best practices and learning from each other, to address public health challenges”.

This vocational training program aims to promote job opportunities in the healthcare industry whilst offering quality training and education in the field of diagnosis, paramedical sciences and healthcare. With a combined experience in education, vocational training, and healthcare domain knowledge, Healthians and SVSU have joined hands together, spearheading the new course programs that will train over 3,000 students over the next three years.

The genesis of this partnership is to ensure that apart from quality education and curriculum, students can also be provided with a practical learning environment by delivering hands-on training of skill-based educational programs in the field of diagnostics and pathology.

The program aims to address the following points:

  • To provide high-quality vocational training in the healthcare sector.
  • To create guaranteed, sustainable, and long-term employment opportunities
  • To fulfil the demand for skilled professionals in the phlebotomy and the diagnostic labs sector
