MediElaj launches AI-powered healthcare app and diagnostic kiosk platform in India
MedPredict platform combines AI diagnostics, mobile health services and smart kiosks to expand screening access across urban and rural regions
MedPredict has launched MediElaj, an AI-powered healthcare app and smart diagnostic kiosk platform aimed at expanding access to early diagnosis, preventive care and health screening across urban, semiurban and rural India.
Developed by MedPredict, MediElaj combines artificial intelligence with healthcare services through a mobile application and smart kiosk network. The platform is designed to connect traditional healthcare systems with digital health technologies.
The initiative is led by Debjit Patra, Founder and Chairman, MedPredict, who has experience across defence services, corporate leadership, finance and entrepreneurship. The company stated that its focus is on expanding access to healthcare services for underserved communities.
“MediElaj is built to transform the very foundation of public healthcare by strengthening availability, affordability, scalability, and equity through breakthrough AI technology. We believe this will drive a paradigm shift in diagnostics and screening across the global healthcare ecosystem. Our goal is to enable a systemic transformation in healthcare delivery at scale, both in India and globally,” said Debjit Patra, Chairman and Founder, MediElaj.
According to the company, the smart kiosk model is designed for neighbourhoods, workplaces, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, government health centres and private community clinics. The MediElaj app has recorded more than 100,000 downloads.
Each kiosk is equipped with more than 30 diagnostic tests, including invasive and non-invasive assessments such as ECG, SpO₂ monitoring and vitals assessment. The company stated that these services are available without requiring a hospital visit.
MedPredict said the platform’s AI diagnostic engine currently operates at an efficiency rate of more than 90 per cent, with further clinical refinements expected as datasets expand. The MediElaj mobile app also includes AI-assisted symptom analysis, wellness tools and patient support services.
The company stated that an initial community centre kiosk pilot completed more than 200 diagnoses and conducted over 350 non-invasive tests.
MedPredict has also entered partnerships with hospitals and colleges through signed memorandums of understanding for collaborative research and healthcare innovation. The company said discussions are underway with governments in two western Indian markets regarding pilot healthcare programmes, subject to clinical validation.
On the regulatory front, the company stated that it has received ISO 13485 and ISO 14791 certifications and secured Test and Commercial Licences for Indian operations under Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), ISO and Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) frameworks.
The company added that it is also pursuing compliance with international regulatory, quality, privacy and healthcare standards as part of expansion plans in Dubai and the United Kingdom.
With the launch of MediElaj, MedPredict said it aims to strengthen its position in AI-led diagnostics and healthcare accessibility in India and international markets.
