Metropolis Healthcare builds COVID-19 testing laboratory in Thane, Maharashtra approved by ICMR

The facility will now increase testing capacity to conduct COVID-19 tests

Metropolis Healthcare recently announced that it has built a dedicated COVID-19 testing laboratory in Thane, Maharashtra which is approved by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and accredited by the nodal accreditation body, National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). In addition to its lab in Mumbai and in Pune, this third dedicated facility in the state will now increase its testing capacity to conduct COVID-19 tests. The daily capacity of all these three labs put together stands at 4000.

 Ameera Shah, Promoter, Managing Director, Metropolis Healthcare said “COVID-19 testing needs to increase exponentially and, to meet the needs of the state, we have added this laboratory with an enhanced capacity. Four of our labs across India are ICMR approved. Our only focus in such times is to support the local government and municipal authorities to increase the number of tests conducted each day in order to fight this pandemic.”
