As Sri City continues to evolve into a prominent industrial, educational, and residential hub in southern India, access to structured and dependable healthcare is emerging as a key priority. In line with this need, Apollo TeleHealth – unit of Apollo Hospitals Group, has extended an integrated model of physical and connected care to the region, bringing expanded medical services closer to its growing population.

Sri City, located along the Andhra Pradesh–Tamil Nadu border, spans approximately 10,000 acres and supports more than 70,000 employees and residents across 22 villages and 7 panchayats. With 250 factories, 2 universities, and over 20 schools, the region has emerged as a large economic cluster with growing healthcare needs. Its location along NH-16 and close connectivity to Chennai and Tirupati further underline its regional importance.

The Integrated Medical & Wellness Centre in Sri City will be operated, maintained, and managed with a focus on delivering comprehensive healthcare services through a mix of on-site care and digital support. The centre will provide outpatient consultations, diagnostics, X-ray, pharmacy, visiting specialists, and tele-consultations. It will also offer 24×7 emergency stabilisation with Tele-ER support, backed by a 5G-enabled ambulance and trauma response system. In addition, the model includes occupational health camps, workplace wellness initiatives, social health education, and preventive health check-up programmes.

Dr Prathap C. Reddy, Founder & Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, said, “At Apollo, we have long believed that the health of people is the bedrock of every strong community and a thriving nation. When individuals are well, families flourish, enterprises grow, and economies move forward with confidence. Our endeavour has been to take quality healthcare beyond the confines of hospitals, bringing it closer to the communities and workplaces that sustain India’s growth. This means not only advancing clinical excellence, but also ensuring that access to care is equitable, consistent, and built to scale. In that spirit, we are pleased to bring Apollo to Sri City – India’s leading Integrated Business City. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting a healthier, more productive industrial ecosystem, while extending the benefits of quality healthcare to surrounding villages and communities. Through this presence, we seek to serve not just the healthcare needs of industry, but also to touch the lives of countless families with compassion, clinical excellence, and the enduring trust that define Apollo.”

Apollo Hospitals is delivering this initiative with support from Apollo TeleHealth, a division of the Apollo Hospitals Group, which brings 25+ years of telehealth experience and a reported impact of 29 million+ lives. In Sri City, Apollo TeleHealth will support tele-consultations, connected pharmacy and diagnostic workflows, emergency response coordination, and continuity of specialist care through digital systems.

Highlighting how healthcare remains central to Sri City’s development philosophy, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City, said, “From the beginning, we envisioned Sri City as a place where world-class infrastructure is matched by world-class living, and that includes access to exceptional healthcare. Our partnership with Apollo Hospitals, one of India’s leading healthcare providers, brings ‘platinum-standard’ care to our community, from preventive wellness to advanced treatment. We are confident this initiative will deliver significant benefits to both the Sri City community and the large rural population in the surrounding region. With Apollo, we deliver on that promise and welcome a healthier region.”

The model is also being built around structured monitoring. Daily service metrics, emergency handling, specialist consultations, diagnostics, pharmacy use, outreach coverage, response times, equipment uptime, and patient feedback will all be tracked. The aim is not simply to create a functioning medical centre, but to build a healthcare system that improves with use, adapts to demand, and strengthens quality over time.

By combining on-ground clinical services with connected specialist care and performance-led monitoring, the Sri City initiative reflects a broader shift in how healthcare is being integrated into emerging economic centres, where infrastructure development is increasingly aligned with access to quality, accountable, and responsive care.
